Yes, exactly. Just a guess.

Sorry but I don't understand that, what do you mean?

Shed roof? Along the length? That would then look like a big cowshed, right?

Opening the roof over the stairs at the bottom of the plan is not as nice as the one from #140. It would result in a long corridor. With a shed roof, you would first have to consider how that might look.

What do you actually have against an angled bungalow?
I think the approach from #145 is a good example. Here it is again, larger.

[PULT ROOF? OVER THE LENGTH? THAT LOOKS LIKE A BIG COW BARN, DOESN'T IT?]

[OPENING THE ROOF OVER THE STAIRS AT THE BOTTOM PLAN IS NOT AS NICE AS THE ONE FROM #140. IT WOULD CREATE A LONG CORRIDOR. WITH A PULT ROOF, ONE WOULD FIRST HAVE TO THINK ABOUT HOW IT COULD LOOK.]

[WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY HAVE AGAINST ANGLE BUNGALOW? I THINK THE APPROACH FROM #145 IS A GOOD EXAMPLE. HERE IT IS AGAIN IN LARGE.]

Yes, you are right about the cow barn. *laugh* But when I compare a pult roof with a gable roof over the length, we also come to the cow barn. Fortunately, tastes differ!

I have nothing against angle bungalows. I even wanted an angle bungalow at first, but later gave it up because I couldn’t arrange the rooms that well. That was with an office downstairs though. What somewhat puts me off about the floor plan are the many slopes. But surely something can be done about that, right? Maybe I just have to get used to it first.

And this guess doesn't make sense the other way around: saddle = binder = no rafters = no purlins = so why concrete then, that would be more obvious with a hip roof.

Well like this: (blue = higher roof section, olive = cross-section

You are worried. Normal residential areas have a house every 20 meters; at 200 meters, we would call that a hermit's existence... whether the sun sets there, disappears, or whatever, you can probably disregard that concern.

That is not a bungalow

That's what I initially thought too, but in summer that really excludes west/northwest evening sun completely. And I have to say, I really like that sun on summer evenings. That's why I once rotated the bungalow

At least a terrace (meaning the house) here would start no earlier than 6 to 7 meters from the property boundary. And you'd have real shielding towards the neighbor.

The bathroom visible from the open space also bothered me a bit. I already considered leading the stairs upward at an angle, that would also avoid this.

Regarding the utility room: that should be technically feasible and I would choose 2 carports anyway or definitely a carport with a room behind it next to the utility room. That means connections can run directly next to the house to the utility room; one would then have to give some thought to the material of the driveway. In any case, you would be able to access the connections again in the long run.

On the terrace side, you could then also choose a garage.
