our washing machine is quieter than the dishwasher, even when it is spinning (stehen im gleichen Raum) and our washing machine was not particularly expensive (beim Trockner weis ich es auch nicht)
Oh man. The OP doesn't know what his property looks like and where the building boundaries run, and here people are discussing at what time the woman will start the washing machine in three years and how the thumping subwoofer doesn't disturb the sleeping children. Completely crazy, like the property!
Thank you very much for the sensible comment.
1. If you had read everything, you would know that it is not my property yet.
2. Apparently, you do not have a good sound system.
But, as someone who takes care of laundry, you don't just leave the dryer running and then go to bed ... okay, maybe with towels, but not anymore if there is laundry that gets really wrinkled when you take it out of the machine the next morning, or rather the next evening.
I think different workflows will settle in.
Come home ... throw in the laundry, do something else first, put the laundry in the dryer, and then try to finish by 9 PM. So that afterwards you can really have peace, not just noise, but also inner calm.
I just showed the floor plan to my wife and focused especially on the washing machine and dryer. She doesn't like that the two appliances are in the hallway either. (because of noise)
Just for comparison...
There is a dishwasher with 38db according to geizhals.de
The quietest washing machine is 64db and the quietest dryer is 59db.
