what exactly do you mean by that?

Yes, some light so that getting up is perhaps a bit easier

The balcony? Balcony would be for lying outside if necessary, but that will probably not be the case if there is a terrace. More likely to maybe dry laundry in summer, which is supposed to be washed upstairs as well.

I have to look, I have one from another planner but I personally don’t like it that much.....

Oh, other countries...

That was the point. To push the whole garage story even more to the north to have more south garden. But your boundary laws are just different.

Here is the first draft of another planner for the single-family house with a more central staircase. From our point of view, not bad, but because of the central staircase, a hallway can hardly be placed. The distances on this plan are a bit too narrow. This means that the house would also have to be positioned more towards the south here!

Hello PitFlocke,

I personally find the second draft you posted better at first. It looks more "rounded."

I would leave out the equipment room by the garage because there is a basement. The pantry is large enough – I would simply store the supplies for the kitchen and the daily "needs" (cleaning supplies, etc.) for the dining and living room there, lock the pantry, and have a much smaller window.

I would also banish the washing machine to the basement. But that's also because I'm a fan of hanging the laundry to dry, and you usually don't really have that space in a utility room (on the ground floor or upper floor).

I think the upper floor is great as it is.

Regards

Basically, I find this draft much better. much better
Although some things can still be revised, it is the better draft (if I may say so... "is ... better", yes, more balanced in terms of structure and layout)

In this case probably just different words (I suspect Abstandsnachsicht and Abstandsflächenübernahme to be essentially similar), but where in DE construction would be according to §34, the rules are probably different.

Who knows? - much German building law dates back to the chancellorship of an Austrian.
