so with particularly large kitchens, 2 sinks can already be practical. but we also belong to the faction: rinsing food, rather not. in the next kitchen there is also an undermount sink, just wiping everything in is very practical and you have fewer cleaning edges

regarding the floor-to-ceiling windows and that they bring in more light: yes, but only if really nothing is placed in front of them, otherwise the effect is gone :P

Purely out of curiosity: what do you do with 2 completely separate sinks each with a faucet? At best, I can’t think of a use case (for me). Yes, lots of large workspace, but 2x faucet? Is your kitchen then 40 sqm so that the walk to a faucet would be too far? The dishwasher does the washing up, for cooking so far one sink and one faucet have been completely sufficient for the mise en place for us [emoji4]

A sink is near the cooktop. I imagine either having space for draining or letting dishwater stand briefly. One is on a work island opposite. There is a lot of space around it for chopping and preparing together. You can wash salad, quickly wash your hands... whatever... I know this from friends who have it like that too and find it super practical. Especially when you often don’t work alone in the kitchen. But the topic is discussed very controversially overall :P Once again, a matter of taste...

I am more from the faction "cooktop near the sink, with a preparation area in between." If more people than usual are cooking, the others can work from the dining area at the peninsula where everything takes place.

The separation of cooking and washing is a disadvantage with kitchen islands that can be compensated for by having a second, small sink. I can understand that, but with our space situation that just doesn’t work.

I would simply find the lost workspace for the sink too much of a shame. Besides, I don't find sinks particularly nice, I prefer a countertop. We only have one basin opposite the cooking island (there is only the cooking hob) and that is perfectly enough for me.

Best regards
