And where to? You’re not throwing them away, are you...

Basically true, but it was also about who might be bothered by seeing the plates that "went away" after the meal.

If you’re still really dancing, the dancefloor in the living room and/or on the terrace is more decisive.

Ha, you lucky person. You get to be in charge of your own kitchen. No, it doesn’t work like that here. Everyone comes and brings something – but usually something still needs to be stirred, chopped, or whisked. So bowls, knives, cutting boards, etc. get pulled out and then put somewhere. Meanwhile, you’re trying not to let your own food burn. In the meantime, everyone wants a drink and knocks over a few glasses and needs a cloth – and it’s gone. The first person already starts the dishwasher for the chopping tools, even though you barely have anything in the machine yet. Considering various eating habits, we often have 3 dishes on the board – they all need their own pot. And there’s dessert later too! No, a family gathering isn’t real without chaos.

Cutting tool into the cool little machine? No-go! Blades get dull. But it shouldn’t be a problem to briefly hold them under water.

For dirty dishes, a container actually makes sense: place a container inside and instruct to put the dirty dishes in there.
In our place, something like that stands in the utility room around the corner.

How funny it is here when people suddenly gather around our small standing table integrated into the kitchen in our open living-dining-kitchen area... as if there were no other place [emoji13]

Yes, that is a phenomenon. We have a small table in the kitchen with 4 seats. In the large living room, 2 then sit and look up something on the notepad, and in the kitchen, 5 people stand in the way around the 4 sitting at the table.

Of course, not knives in the cool thing, but I quickly wipe them off in between. Same with larger pots. All a matter of organization.

According to today's posts, does that mean you are necessarily either oldfashioned or an undisciplined dishwasher user if you appreciate having a door between the sofa and the kitchen?
