Door open, door closed. How else?
Unfortunately, my husband doesn't cook that many courses that we wouldn't be done after going back and forth twice.

The point is that the smell doesn't stop after cooking. In other words, if you're worried about odors, you should try to eat in the kitchen as much as possible.

If you carry the food into another room, the smells will come along.

Oh, I can't confirm that, however. The smells in the dining/living room are minimal and quickly dissipate if you open the window wide. But in the kitchen, they usually simmer for about half an hour. Despite using the extractor hood and opening the door, the air in the kitchen is sometimes stuffy. But not in the living room. I don't know why. It's probably because of my husband – I've always suspected that.

and you’re worried about microwaves and cancer?

If you cook like that, or don’t have a working extractor hood, then your husband is sitting in a nice fine dust cloud. And since the room is small, the concentration is higher than with an open kitchen including a functioning extractor hood.

Fine dust when cooking? Alex, now don’t get funny too, the microwave thing that will send me to the grave was already enough.

I am curious whether purchasing the Bärbel is worth it, regarding the odors. And what the ventilation here still brings. Otherwise, it always depends on what is available. For example, there are no meatballs here in the kitchen. They can be better made on the gas grill [emoji28]
