Don't your dishwasher have a timer function? I always set it and let it run at night.

No, not an advocate of the open variant. But for me, it’s decided that we want it that way.

Which appliances in between? The refrigerator will be integrated. You won’t see anything of it anyway. By the way, for example, wine refrigerators with glass doors are extremely stylish – but nobody drinks wine here.

Our current dishwasher is from Siemens, cost about €450, and is not an explicitly silent model. You can hardly hear it, as long as it’s not loaded incorrectly. I don’t see a problem spending €50 more for the silent model. A timer is also an option; the dishwasher already runs overnight here.

I was not referring to "large meals" just now, but to the desire arising from the compatibility of an open kitchen and coziness for immediate disposal of the decor killer "used dishes." Without the condition "machine 1 is already finished and emptied" needing to be met.

11ant and KarlaHollerbach, we have to accept it, since it’s a hype, we, the lovers of the solid old German living room with a wall to the kitchen, are a small radical minority, the black bloc of the building society scene, the enemy of the kitchen studio, miserable hosts who shove a pizza into their guests' paws and then use the boxes as ashtrays, and after 14 minutes of food consumption, immediately force the visit to a Cuba Libre. Venceremos. Viva la revulocion.... I’m putting on the Toten Hosen now, grabbing a Mars, a drink, and listening reverently to the Bayern song, when the woman comes home, I switch to Bonny and Clyde... we rob two three four five banks, she loves that. Carpet. Good cue. In the living room gladly, in the kitchen rather not.
