Changing the roller shutter and building up can be avoided if you take a horizontally divided window, whose lower part is fixed.

Are you assembling the kitchen yourself? If not, have you included Ikea's assembly costs?

By the way, since you mentioned AEG at the beginning. The appliances from IKEA are made by Whirlpool (= Bauknecht) and Electrolux (= AEG).

I had also thought about that .. just replace the window, done. Just need to make sure that the countertop doesn’t protrude over the bottom light, otherwise slightly raise the frame extensions below ... it should fit exactly at at least 91cm height. Correct? That way I would possibly pay 400-500 € for a new window and wouldn’t have to do any masonry, plastering, adjusting the roller shutter, etc ...

Even though I have no idea what such a window looks like

The kitchen will be assembled and installed by a subcontractor (acquaintance) who assembles Ikea.

Yes, as the IKEA expert already said, it fits with space and door front. Also, you don’t need to make a handle on the door, as the door opens with a push:

This is what the planning currently looks like:

The dishwasher is to go to the left of the sink. Above the oven/induction cooker, there will be a headroom extractor hood. Still don't know which color ...

On the bottom right, the "blind corner" will be cut to fit, since Ikea unfortunately does not offer a 37 cm corner cabinet solution. That’s why the countertop protrudes beyond it.

On the outside of the left wall cabinet, I still have to perfectly attach the filler strip so that the cabinet gaps above the induction cooker align perfectly. They are a bit more than 64/65 cm ...

hello phill, can you post a plan of your kitchen here? I would be interested to know exactly where the low window is located. Maybe one could plan something lower there, especially for this deeper area. A partially lowered countertop often looks very nice and is also practical. best regards robi Edit... just saw that I overlooked the second page with the plan on the tablet...

Hello Robi,

the sketch/photos are 1-2 posts above you ... the window is also visible in the picture.

In front of it is the water connection including the sink. We don’t have much leeway, and it should actually stay that way.

Regards
