Regarding the dressing room: We don’t have one and realize that it would have advantages to have one. Here too, the argument should purely be needs-oriented, that there are genuine advantages and it’s not just following a trend. Of course, one can counter that laying out clothes for the next day in the bathroom can replace a dressing room even with different wake-up times. True. Nevertheless, the other way is more convenient. Once you always have appropriate clothes ready in an extra room, you have effectively created a dressing room for yourself – logically consistent would then be to plan one directly.

Regarding the master / children's bathroom: Does this simply mean 2 bathrooms, or do you necessarily have to have children for that?

The chaos you like to shut off in food preparation is something others experience with clothing. On weekends, piles of worn clothes stack up on dressers and chairs, which need to be washed, sometimes only reluctantly because they are wrinkled. You can keep this state out of the bedroom well if you have a kitchen.

With us, it’s simply the case that we get up at different times. The man quickly leaves the bedroom and can gladly turn on the light in the kitchen – I am allowed to keep dozing in the dark That way, you respect the other’s rhythm of life partner.

Kids' bathroom: I believe at teenage age with 2 kids plus it’s a good choice. However, I consider it a small luxury feature – later this bathroom, in addition to the children's rooms, will stand empty. Idle rooms feel lonely, I think

Dressing room and children’s (or 2nd bath):

Both are nice to have if there is space for them. Although a second bathroom probably isn’t really necessary when the kids are still quite small (and you have to make sure their teeth are properly brushed anyway), when those cute little toddlers turn into full-grown teenagers, such a second bathroom definitely has its own special appeal *g*

But not at all costs—if the floor plan or floor space simply doesn’t allow it, it’s better to have a large wardrobe wall or a comfortable bathroom instead of two tiny bathrooms.

Personally, I mean 2 bathrooms on one floor: one for the child and one for the parents. Seen that way in some model homes.

Otherwise, interpret it however you like.

If you have to leave for your jobs at roughly the same time, the necessity is also low.

For us, there are 90 minutes between waking times. I (as the first riser) lay out the clothes for the next day in the bathroom in the evening. Otherwise, I would have to turn on the light in the morning to find the clothes in the wardrobe. Wardrobe door open, wardrobe door close. Underwear: drawer open, drawer close. So noise + light while someone half a meter away wants to sleep. Whether I can get dressed in a few seconds afterward doesn’t matter.

Now, in the evening, I am sometimes the second one going to bed. If I have forgotten to prepare for the next morning beforehand, I have messed up — one way or another (and yes: I personally am the one who messed up. Circumstances don’t count ).

But if I organize myself best by getting dressed in a separate room at least on weekdays in the morning, where I also have to keep clothes ready, a real dressing room would just be the logical evolution.

It depends on the number of children. I consider it unnecessary with fewer than 3.

Two bathrooms (a small shower bath by the bedroom, a large "wellness oasis" one floor down near the terrace) are had by some friends, which I think is great. But at the end of the day, it's a luxury that you have to be able and willing to afford. Personally, I could completely do without a bathtub, but I don't want to miss having a walk-in shower.
