An open kitchen clearly means two dishwashers in my opinion. So you can load one without having to wait for the first one to be finished.

That is another disadvantage of the open kitchen: when the dishwasher gets old or you don't buy the premium whisper-quiet model, it keeps gurgling all the time in the living room.

I've read a lot here already, but that seems a bit contrived to me. Even after really big meals, I would never have need for a second one. If necessary, you just store it on the counter during the meal.

Anyone planning an open kitchen usually plans one that looks good and is somewhat high-quality. A quiet dishwasher should definitely be included. I wouldn't necessarily want a cheap kitchen in the middle of the apartment either. You are right about that.

The kitchen is the most expensive piece of furniture in the house, even in the Ikea version. I want to see that, and then some!

You mean now from the living room and all the time? So, a supporter of the open concept, I assume.
Well, there are already nice eat-in kitchens. They look like living room furniture - just with appliances in between. That is actually an eye-catcher too. But no - it’s enough for me to see it in the kitchen - price aside.
