Regarding drying laundry: We will have a controlled residential ventilation system and the biggest problem is supposed to be the dry air. The room is, of course, also planned as an exhaust zone.

Triple glazing, like all the other stuff, is by no means standard... and if it is offered from the start without extra charge, it usually means, conversely, that the house only just meets the KfW-70 values or similar requirements... in other words, savings were made on the wall construction or other things.

Also, and especially the construction companies want to make money and don't give you anything, but really nothing...

Yup, bay windows are lovingly called "wall warts" by architects...
Yes, the lower third of the windows is fixed glazing... since we don’t open the windows anyway, the appearance from the outside was more important to us...

yes, so if a bay window doesn’t serve a real purpose, it can definitely be called a wall wart, because it costs a lot and doesn’t bring anything. We also have 2 bay windows - no, actually 3. Two so-called side gables and a bay window in the living room. But our bay windows do serve a purpose. Without the bay windows, we wouldn’t have a children’s bathroom and as a parents’ bathroom only a mini solution. In the living room, we also needed it to be able to properly place our table. Our architect never, ever called any bay window a wall wart or tried to talk us out of it. No, on the contrary, he thinks it’s good. So there are also architects who don’t see every bay window as a wall wart.

And with our general contractor, triple-glazed windows were also standard. And the walls are also good (solid house Poroton T9 36.5cm - also without extra cost). We had exactly one offer where only double-glazed windows were included, and that was from a so-called cheap provider. Cheap base price and everything cost extra.

: Sorry, but I really find your reasoning senseless now. Just because a provider relies on triple glazing from the start doesn’t mean, conversely, that they cut corners elsewhere. Strange logic. We are building with a high-quality solid house provider, for whom something like triple glazing is simply standard. And no, they are not at the lower price range. On average, we were already at almost €1,700 for the standard equipment. Now that we are almost finished and have added one or two extras, we are at almost €2,000. And as I said: Wherever we went, triple glazing was included as standard with all providers. We already had double glazing 15 years ago in our old rental apartment. I would never have thought of installing that in a new building today.

This is not strange logic but market economy, if money is spent in one place then it has to be earned back somewhere else...

The wall construction was just an example... there are a thousand other construction sites where money can be saved for the general contractor... he can then offer you something cheaper in building services or or or

And triple glazing does not really mean anything either, a standard triple glazing can under certain circumstances have worse values than a good double glazing

By the way, there are nowadays plenty of houses which are double glazed, sometimes out of conviction, sometimes because of better values... but sometimes also out of ignorance... many houses are simply built according to the motto "just build a house"...

Sorry, double glazing out of conviction? Maybe if you come across militant glass protectors with panes from free-range farming
