The problem is, the variety of bathtubs is so large, if you don’t choose "standard" you hardly have a chance.
You are so right... We had a standard bathtub in the rental apartment. 170 long. But we wanted a bathtub with the drain in the middle and 2 inclined seats. So we measured and chose: 175cm, because that also fits in the old one. With the new bathtub, we would actually need 185 or 190cm to get the same usable length, because a lot of length is lost due to the incline on both sides. For my wife alone, the new one is enough, but she is only 1.6m tall.
Yes, definitely. That's how our bathtub was chosen
Where did you do that? When I go to Richter+Frenzel, they have their own brands there. Most other showrooms we visited only had maybe 4 or 5 bathtubs with a "normal" shape. I find it really difficult... in the end, it's a bit of a gamble.
We have a Bette Relax in 190cm. Since we are both quite tall, I can lie properly in a tub for the first time. We also tried it out, which is why we chose this model. I can only recommend everyone to do that.
In the bathroom exhibition that the developer sent us to. It might be worth mentioning that we basically have the simplest bathtub ... A model from the "body shape bathtubs" range was enough. For others, especially taller people, it might be different.
In the end, there was even a credit compared to the bathtub according to the construction and service description. So the bathtub was an all-around good thing.
