Regarding the shower: We have walk-in showers without a door, with a wall. That means you need about 1 sqm splash area in front of the door opening, and then ideally a side exterior wall and no window. The interior space should be 1 m wide, plus an 11 cm wall. This was not easy to incorporate into the bathroom layouts and the uniformity of the exterior facade regarding windows. I also see this as a "cost". In many other layouts, I see smaller guest bathrooms that only fit a <= 1 sqm shower.
Keyword house battery – if we had had enough money left, we would have installed an ice storage system on the property. Unfortunately, the excavation work would have been very expensive due to the heavy soil. Instead, we planned the technical room a bit larger and want to put one or two batteries in later. : Have you planned space for future house battery solutions? Or do you have a basement? May I ask how large you planned the children's room? Everyone seems to understand “large children's room” differently.
: A carport is actually much nicer than a garage. But you just can’t fit as much in there. You can really do a lot on the interior walls of the garage. If you know a carpenter, choosing the carport of course pays off twice. I will plant climbing plants on the garage, that should make it prettier.
: Ah, end terrace house. We also once considered a terraced house, but the difference to a condominium is hardly there, maybe a small garden, but otherwise... right?
