What did you indulge in at the house, what did you give up?

Thank you Well, it’s not terrible yet, but we do notice that the developer (yes, really the developer) has apparently cut back on quality in general (we bought the fully equipped show home here). The staircase creaks loudly and when going up or down a bit faster, the wall or the pictures on the wall shake (which I do not attribute solely to the staircase). I think with good quality materials this should be significantly less, so no worries. It just annoys us that our daughter unfortunately sometimes wakes up when we or even the dog slowly use the stairs...

wow, that does sound a bit creepy. So I was also "afraid" of the creaking, but that's why the staircase builder recommended an open staircase without stringers - it can only creak if several "boards" rub against each other, according to my understanding. But during the inspection of the show house, you probably didn't run up and down the stairs often enough?
