What did you indulge in at the house, what did you give up?

Maybe also worth mentioning:
We had an outdoor socket with internal switching installed at the garage and the terrace each, and a motion detector at the entrance area.
And there are already 5 cables lying in the garden, all of which can be switched from inside.

Yes, that's good, but we have already thought about that. I think we still need to decide where to switch the outdoor sockets - we would have one at the front of the house and one at the back by the kitchen. I meant it would be enough if you could switch both on simultaneously in the technical room when needed. Are they switchable separately at your place and then also from the respective nearest room?

Ok, then I guess I'll do that too. Just need to discuss it with my husband and the electricians.

Location of the switch at our place: in front of the staircase. But it also makes sense in the standard floor plan at the exit of the living area.

That's exactly where it is with us.

Our electrician, together with my husband, proposed a different solution. I wasn't very happy at first, but it's not bad nonetheless: in addition to the sockets on the TV cabinet, a power strip with surge protection will be added. A switch to turn it on/off, and that's it.

Regarding the cistern, I have seen very nice cisterns for above-ground use.
