To my knowledge, these mirrors from interrogation rooms only work because it is dark behind them. Therefore, such windows would only work during the day, but not in the evening.

Why should these windows be opaque? If there is glass, you can see through it. If someone does not want this, then such glazing is the wrong choice for them.
The problem today is the sometimes only "towel-sized" building plots. I think for such glazing you need a large garden.
