What did you indulge in at the house, what did you give up?

To push this topic up a bit...

Have you realized your master bathroom and additionally the children's bathroom?

Have you realized your roof terrace? Do you use your reading nook in the gallery?

The planned garden: have you already built your wall or even an outdoor kitchen?

Is your double carport already built?

Do you use your pantry, and is the fireplace also fired up frequently?
Do you use the extra shower in the guest WC?

Your photovoltaic system: does it bring you what you imagined?

Your rain shower: is it really that great?

And, and, and... tell us [emoji2]

Personally, I am still delighted daily with our cloakroom that disappeared under the stairs.

My beloved kitchen island - positioned diagonally to the absolutely straight and minimalist kitchen design... I enjoy this center of the room.

Windows, windows, windows... we can go out into the garden on every side.

This year the greenhouse project was completed [emoji7]

And my kitchen unit in the utility room also delights me several times a day [emoji4]

Regards, Yvonne

Most of all, we enjoy our open kitchen with the huge island every day, the rooftop terrace in the evening sun, and our large rain shower with built-in fixtures and nano-coated frameless glass enclosure.

Next, we will tackle the masonry raised bed around the terrace, the masonry outdoor kitchen, and a bicycle garage for our fleet. What pleases me most is doing all of this myself, after we did not perform any own work during the house construction.

The rain shower is of course still great, even with 18L per minute running through.
At the children’s bath (with Steuler Louis & Ella) we will probably enjoy ourselves more than our children ever will.
We also enjoy the many windows and the associated brightness even on gloomy days, as well as the not quite cheap "wood-look tiles."
Outside it is slowly but steadily progressing, the most elaborate natural stone wall is standing and a hedge will be planted soon.
So... things are going well

As you know, due to our financial situation and the short time until retirement, when the loan must be paid off, we have planned very frugally: bungalow all inclusive with land for 275 thousand. By raiding my Riester contract, there is now an additional 17 available, so we have allowed ourselves a few niceties. In the bathroom, a washbasin with cabinet and mirror. Many spotlights as ceiling lights, also outside in the roof overhang. In the Ikea kitchen, a carbon black sink instead of stainless steel. It now costs 4950 installed instead of 4800. In the utility room, a utility sink. In the garden, a terrace made of shell limestone slabs, pretty, it looks like a beach, plus anthracite paving stones as a path and edging. Concrete, rectangular, chamfered. A flagpole in the garden, painted white with the Schleswig Holstein flag. Fiber optic on the wall in the kitchen and the WCs, where it is not tiled. The rest remains standard. And the standard has been executed well so far, precisely and punctually. He wants to hand over the house to us by the end of July, that should be doable. Karsten

In the bathroom, I only treated myself to a cool rain shower and I love this shower. Every time I shower, I am glad to have done so. Otherwise, there was also an air conditioner in the bedroom.

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it in this thread before, but it’s strange: Last year and this year on vacation I was allowed to stand under one of these rain showers – and I cursed it. As a woman I want to shower, but not necessarily wash my long hair every time. In that respect I twisted myself and was insanely annoyed by this invention. It also reminds me of our service showers, where a fixed showerhead above doesn’t nearly shower what it’s supposed to. Even a conditioner that’s supposed to work on the hair can’t be done with it.

Is this actually such a typical guy thing or am I the only one who can’t handle this thing?
