and that’s exactly how it’s going to be done now! The protrusion of the bay window on the right side will be removed and the bay window will end flush with the house. The door will be moved accordingly, and a coat rack will be installed on the right side of the entrance. This allows the second built-in wardrobe to be used for cleaning supplies, etc. The house side will still be clad up to the height of the bay window. This also eliminates the cantilever in the basement, thus saving basement space.

In addition, the side entrance door will be moved out of the entrance area and, as described before, placed in front of the front door.

If we now find a solution for the laundry chute/window in the dressing room, we will have made good progress.

Great. That’s exactly what I was about to suggest: that the east side of the house still gets the cladding, even without an offset. This also saves the 50cm roof structure. Perfect

I don’t like that either. Ask yourself what you want the island for. Although it’s open, you’re miles away from the guests. Not just a measurable barrier, but also a balancing act for serving. I bet you’ll move the dining table closer to the kitchen.

And that too?! The worst spot, the golden middle, the traffic hub is supposed to work as a play area – that doesn’t work. Everyone has to walk over toys… besides, according to Feng Shui, the center should always be left somewhat free.

Move the table to the middle of the house and let the kids play somewhere else.

Since you’re already planning about a meter on both sides, nothing will be squeezed in. You can talk about squeezing if there’s only about 60 cm of space all around.

That wouldn’t please me either. Artificial light changes the color of clothes and you’ve got a window in the pantry.

The table was drawn in by the planner that way. Of course, you don’t have to forcibly squeeze it against the west wall. Above all, the corner between the two windows is a good spot for the Christmas tree since it is also visible from the living room.
Additionally, you have to consider that the pantry, tall cabinets, bay window,... would move about half a meter closer to the dining table if the extension on the right is removed.
The island is an absolute must-have, since I haven’t seen a kitchen that looks good without an island. It’s simply a matter of our taste.

The only question is how to solve the walk-in closet issue?

I haven’t fully understood the problem yet. If a window is supposed to go there, put it in. Nowadays, you can have wardrobes custom-made. And the laundry chute could easily be placed on any other side of the room. Perhaps it’s worth considering integrating the chute into a wardrobe right away. That way it’s visually hidden and the space above can be used as a wardrobe.

Maybe like this. I need to experiment with the Pax configurator. Maybe then I'll see the solution

Yes, the island is great.
But ask yourself why an open kitchen with an island and see for yourself if your interests in the house’s spaciousness (kitchen, dining area) are well resolved.
For me, the dining area belongs close to the island, so about 1.5 meters away and not 5 meters. Because that can hardly be called close.
