As a room divider, is it not meant to be a supporting wall in any way?
In your drawing, however, one would then be able to look from the sofa between the stair steps to the stove. That may not be disturbing in other floor plans, but not everyone likes the restlessness of the stairs behind them. Also, there would be no peace in the living room if other family members (children!) use the stairs dozens of times in the evening with friends.
In your example, the TV technology would be open at the back, and dust would fall on the TV through the open steps – concentrating on the TV would also not be so easy anymore.
By the way, an open staircase can also cause static problems, because somehow the ground floor ceiling has to be supported.
With load-bearing wall panels, a staircase can always be used positively as a room divider – just not for every lifestyle and family style.

Good morning Ivonne,
At least the wall at the TV should definitely be continuous. As for the other one, I would then have to argue with my wife.
The idea behind it was to create 3 rooms through the 2 room dividers (fireplace and stairs), which are actually open after all.
Personally, I would like the staircase to be open on one side. However, I do not know how the basement entrance would look then.
Together with such an element, I would find an open staircase really beautiful.
