With completely unknown companies, I can understand the argument though.
That's how they are among themselves, the city dwellers. Lying, cheating, stealing entire motorhomes from each other, but always portraying themselves as the smart ones because they're from the city.
In the countryside, where a construction contract is made with a handshake, you don't need architects. Of course, sometimes things go wrong during construction, but one phone call, and the botched drywall ceiling was removed and replaced. Karsten
That's a completely different matter. As I said above, you obviously have to compare and also get other offers. Basically, however, I prefer to have someone whose work I know, rather than a complete stranger.I wouldn't rely on the fact that everyone knows each other in the village and that they can't afford to be sloppy. All offers from companies in our village or municipality, whether demolition or retaining wall/foundation slab/earthworks, were much more expensive than those from other companies, incomplete, etc. That's how we are building at the marketplace, and no company from the area is involved in the construction.
