Ok, the setback area around the crown is not circular but follows the actual course, so the house can become about one meter wider in the north than feared. The overall size is therefore not so bad, and the buildability is not as hopeless as initially feared. So: sorry about that.

Of course, there are a number of compromises in the floor plan that you would want to avoid with the standard 11m x 9m cube, but within the possibilities here, it’s not bad and corresponds to the forum’s speculations.

The question is whether you want to live like this, because one thing hasn’t changed: it remains a "compromise house" at a premium price.

I don't see it as a compromise at all.

The house has full-sized rooms, in a reasonable size

I'm having trouble with the basement, the entrance stairs, and the garage, but I think the floor plan is good

And with a penthouse and roof terrace as the cherry on top

*dream*

Shady in summer, well air-conditioned by the tree canopy

Okay, breaks every budget since the rooms are not needed

Ashes on my head, that it could turn out this well, I would never have thought. The price is of course hot here. But the solution is impressive and you can rightfully say that this is nothing from the mothball box. The tree is also a kind of reward if you, as the builder, are enthusiastic about it. I would be amazed and would stare at it and smile all day long.

I find that cheeky again... to think that something like that comes from those following this thread.

I like it. I'm not looking into the details.

The study with the window is yours to enjoy.

I don't really like the entrance and basement window, but somehow it can't be done much differently. I'm positively surprised by the floor plan.

Just a question regarding the future. The tree will probably get wider over the years. Even if it keeps its distance now, is it allowed to be pruned if it gets too close to the house, or from when?
