I do not think that there are statutory performance deadlines for a structural engineer. From my point of view – mind you, not a legal opinion – this is a regular service contract, i.e. initially a complaint with a reasonable deadline is required, meaning a cancellation would probably only be appropriate as a result of a missed grace period.

Update: Construction stop because the excavator driver hit an illegally laid high-voltage cable of the [Stadtwerke]!

Somehow it just won't get going...

Annoying, but if no easement existed, no reason to worry too much.

With us, the fiber optic cable for the entire district was also cut on the first day of the civil engineering work. It was simply located in a place where it shouldn’t have been. The future neighbors really all knew about our construction start because of that.

Oh dear What did the expert send us on the acceptance day? The builder is done, we can stop

Fortunately not.

Now it naturally takes longer. We should actually be entitled to compensation, shouldn’t we?

However, the worst was the neighbor who has annoyed us since day 1: He maliciously came onto the property and claimed "I knew there was a power cable there!" Unbelievable, right? It really could have been worse! Unbelievable!

Well, that leaves one speechless
Nobody needs neighbors like that
Something could have happened otherwise
