If the officials at the municipality are realistic, a one-sided cutback should somehow be negotiable. Important: If there is a site visit, make sure to provide enough warm coffee and cake!

Now don’t be so pessimistic, they are also people, and a pragmatic solution was found at the neighboring factory campus as well.

This is a multi-million project. Solutions are found more easily there. The big players have other options. The official said in this context that there are people who would simply cut down our tree for a payment of 50,000 euros. However, this would not be proportional to the increase in value of the property.

Of course, we could refer to the 113 trees that have to be removed there. But only in court and not now in the approval process.

Basically, I would do that too. But I am already behind schedule with the house construction anyway. I just don't want to put myself through those additional years, costs, and nerves.
