Hello Sandrasix

somehow I still don’t understand the problem.
There are 4 cm between the two buildings. Sound transmission is difficult to impossible. Whether mineral wool, Styrofoam, or cow dung is placed in the 4 cm space won’t improve or worsen the situation. Sound transmission would only occur if both building parts touch each other. So, be careful that concrete does not form a resonance bridge. Then everything is fine.
And you have the "screamer" under control because of his shouting.

On the other topic here.

We discussed this issue at home for a very long time yesterday.

My husband shares the opinion of .
I think tumaa has good approaches.
Practically, tumaa could be my husband.

His argument is that if you replace the annoying children with people with black skin, it would be racism. With children, it would be natural if you don't want to tolerate them.

I found the comparison so absurd that we really argued.

In the end, we came to the conclusion that you shouldn't compare apples to oranges and that everyone is entitled to their opinion.
But you should treat each other with respect.

It’s only about the gap between our floor slab and his basement wall.
There is Styrodur in there. Above the floor slab, the mineral wool then begins.

I find the comparison just as absurd as you.

The comparison is completely flawed anyway. It would be comparable if people with black skin regularly squeaked while playing tag in the garden and rattled down the cobblestones on plastic wheeled tricycles.

You can argue more about the question of how much and what kind of emissions of all kinds a neighbor can and must tolerate.

That it is allowed to conceive children who have no built-in off or at least pause button is really a scandal *LOL*
