It's a pity, actually. It didn't work out, unfortunately.

I'm really sorry for you, but don't give up!!!!

Maybe it can still work out.

I always find it very sad when someone wants it and it doesn't work out, unfortunately there are also bad parents who have children without any problems.

I am in favor of a driver's license for parents who want to have children.

Life can be beautiful with or without children.

All the best!!!

Um, no, but thanks for your good intentions. I'm not dying of sorrow either. What one never had, one cannot miss - well, or let's say, one will miss less.

I can't stand either:

People who have something against children (I'm not talking about wanting peace and quiet here!)
&
Parents who have children and can't raise them or can't take care of them!!

I didn't want to offend anyone with my statements and if I did, I apologize for that.

Have a nice Sunday!

How did the second meeting with the neighbor go? I hope you can somehow reconcile. I also find his behavior shocking, whether towards a woman or children, that is just generally bottom of the barrel. Regarding the legal side, I can’t comment because I don’t know much about it. However, I would take the neighbor’s concerns seriously and have them checked, if only to avoid making myself unnecessarily vulnerable afterwards.

To the others: We have children and they are sometimes loud and that bothers me too, but I can’t and won’t oppress them. We bought a house so that the children can run and play in the garden. We prevent unnecessary shouting, but not normal play. Our neighbors all have no children, but grandchildren; they regularly have their celebrations and a lot of visitors, so it’s a give and take. We also have a terrier who sometimes barks at dogs at the fence, yes, that’s annoying too. We certainly aren’t model neighbors, but we get along well with everyone here and we tolerate each other’s disturbances and live and let live.

Can we open our own thread for the children's noise discussion? I have now flipped through pages to see if there is any feedback from . I am hoping for a positive response after an unfortunate start.
