But there is already a false assumption in that. Children MUST be able to be somewhere WITHOUT being the center of attention. You can celebrate weddings WITH children, WITHOUT a children’s program, without the constant entertaining input, without it being centrally about the children. If that is not possible, an obvious cultural skill has been lost. If children romp around exactly during the time of the wedding dance or a parent with a screaming child does not leave the ceremony, the problem lies somewhere else than with the hosts... and anyone who has had to experience that might perhaps think about the modalities of their own future celebration.

I have a large multicultural circle of friends

I have never experienced children screaming a wedding or party together.

Probably at Allesaandro there were such wedding planners, ushers, and supervisors. If I had drunk a beer too early, the wedding planner would have intervened and asked me to please adhere to the fun and etiquette rules

Beer only after the father of the bride’s speech and only after the official go-ahead

Thank you for reminding me, a country kid, that a beautiful world is not a given and that there are people living in cities who don't even know that fire brigade festivals exist at all

Me neither. However, until now, the parents have always said: Not now! Sit still. Playing more is later. The children listened, and so games, the cake procession, or the dance of the bride and groom were not disturbed. That's that.

But that's the parents' fault, not the children's! Most parents don't even give their children the chance to develop their own imagination and creativity.

Children do not drive themselves to Toys 'R' Us to then fill their whole room with blinking, sparkling, and noisy toys. They are also not the ones who sit naked in the pool and present themselves via live broadcast on Instagram.

Everything that children "today" can no longer do is because their parents took it away from them.
