What a little fool, that professor. What’s so bad about child-free restaurants, hotels, or whatever???
It’s better than forcing people who just want to eat or vacation in peace to listen to kids screaming. I also think it’s nice to have some quiet, for example at the spa that’s only for 16 and older.
It has its advantages, for example, if I want to have a romantic dinner with my partner and can choose a restaurant where, at the moment I give my beloved a diamond ring with the question of all questions, no little rascal is racing by like a helicopter. That’s just great!
There are also family hotels – there I know what to expect. If I want peace and quiet, I would be completely out of place there. And families can be sure that their children are allowed to run wild without half the people in the dining room annoyedly raising their eyebrows.
Such differently designed hotels/restaurants really make sense in my opinion!
My brother and sister-in-law, parents of three children, also find it wonderful when we take the kids for a weekend and they can visit EXACTLY SUCH child-free hotels or at least enjoy a day at the spa WITHOUT kids screaming as a couple.
And they love their children and these kids are certainly well-behaved. But also lively and loud – like all children.
