We all agree that shouting is not okay, but on the factual level, the guy is unhappy and one should try to establish some peace....

There are always two sides. Behind us is an older gentleman who had a beautiful, unobstructed view for 20 years... we built in front of him first, then one on our right and now one on the left. He is very nice to us, we invited him to the topping out ceremony, trimmed his trees for him (he is not in good shape) and everything is fine. However, the third party will soon have trouble with him.... I can already see him storming around his property furious.... their construction site runs every day from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. for weeks, with a compactor every few hours and again and again a compactor....

Yes, people will say tough luck, he had to expect that someone would build there... but one should also see the other side... since March 19 the man can basically forget peace and his terrace.... do you really have to start compacting at 6:30 in the morning??? Yes, you are allowed to, but does it have to be??? I wouldn’t be surprised if he soon storms around shouting...

but there are also older people for whom a construction project right on their doorstep is a highlight. They stand in front of the construction fence every day and watch
Fortunately, the construction noise is limited in time...

That is precisely only his own perception, that the factual level is where his dissatisfaction lies. Therefore, one must respond to his dissatisfaction with understanding – but at the same time make it clear that he does not have the right to shout on the factual level, but must behave (simply because right behind the factual level begins the peace of his nine neighbors).

Oh yes, and some of them keep shaking their heads because everything is being done wrong...

Building into an existing property or a gap is always "exciting," in a village it’s even worse. The neighbor has no business on someone else’s property. Especially not if he "acts stupid" towards me. When he built 20 years ago(?), a lot was probably done as personal work on weekends... That wasn’t quiet either. The new builder can’t be blamed that everyone is home now. We should rather be glad if construction sites keep running, wages and taxes are paid... And vibrating can’t last for 3 weeks either. I’m not saying you shouldn’t be considerate but you have to see the other side as well. Does the established neighbor then pay the additional costs for construction, rent because the completion takes longer... just so he can sleep in? It’s a reasonable disturbance. As long as the quiet times are observed, it’s okay.

I think you have to see it in relation. There is a difference between living in a block of flats or in a single-family house located further away. In the end, children are and must be agile. They are just learning about our life. "Loud" is perhaps also a cry for attention. It is more than important to naturally engage with them and thus also show "quiet" through play.
