As unfamiliar as the approach is to me - consider the answers as support so that you don’t build a house that creates suffering. Topic windows: Lack of natural light costs living quality – therefore plan with windows on the side. We lived for 18 years in a terraced mid-terrace house and clearly felt the lack of light, especially in the living area, in the kitchen, and at the centrally located dining table. In the bedroom, I would swap the bed and wardrobe and put a window strip above the bed. Also, grant the one children's room a bit more light from the side. The window in the dining area can be made somewhat larger or simply install a patio door. Topic shower: I can’t judge how important a second shower is for the daily routine. I find the positioning unfortunate. I would rather stuff an infrared sauna in there… or position the walls differently if they are not load-bearing. Improve the lighting situation as mentioned above. However, the bathroom remains a potential bottleneck. Here I would enlarge the T-shaped area somewhat to enable a second washbasin as already suggested. The separation between shower and toilet does not necessarily have to be in the middle – I consider it sensible to take some space from the toilet and give it to the shower.I was already worried about posting this here because it is a passionless standard.
