... That was the latest status. Since then, the engineer of the general contractor made us an offer, we liked it very much and therefore had a house "crafted" by the local architect. Unfortunately, I am not allowed to upload the floor plan, but prompted by , here is verbally what has changed (mind you: the architect did not know my drawing!):
On the ground floor, the basic layout of the rooms remains. However, the guest toilet was extended to the outer wall and now has a window and a shower provision. Our plot is 26m long on one side and 20m on the other – the architect accordingly placed the office in a pointed dormer so that the space is fully utilized. The exterior dimensions of the house are thus 12.11m on the short side and just under 15m on the long side. There is no door between the staircase and the kitchen, but an open passage. Under the staircase (width 2.62m) is the pantry. The utility room is 12 sqm.
On the upper floor, the laundry room I had planned had to give way; the washing machine and dryer will now be relocated downstairs. The dormer on the ground floor serves as a balcony for the children's rooms upstairs (which face south). Opposite the staircase is the bathroom, and symmetrically to the children's rooms in the south is the master bedroom in the north. The entire entrance area of the master bedroom is a walk-in closet. Special feature: We only have an 18-degree roof pitch (due to setback regulations in Bavaria) and therefore an open roof structure (knee wall 2.30m), but still wanted at least a little extra storage space, so we installed a collar beam ceiling in the master bedroom (with a hatch in the walk-in closet).
