Cool floor plan, nice project! Is the staircase already finished? We probably did it quite similarly and I am very satisfied. The only thing I should have asked about once more in hindsight is the thickness of the stringer: that's a real beast for us... a few centimeters less would have been nicer.

Thank you :) With us, you can't see the stringers because the staircase is completely against the wall. But yes, it will look like that from above. It looks great at your place!

or someone else: Huh? That's a stringer staircase? I would have thought it's a folded plate staircase. Which part is the stringer there? The staircase is stylish though...

Okay folded stair is significantly more expensive. But I generally find the budget very high. The white part she is sitting on ;) a saddle stringer. A mortised stringer is found on the left and right of the tread and riser, and a folded stair holds together completely without stringers.
