Good point about the thickness of the walls. I hadn’t considered that it could of course make a big difference in our case!
By the way, the chill zone on the upper floor would be more like a [Büronische], but yes, the layout doesn’t really make me happy either. I especially find the doors to the living area and the kitchen quite inconvenient.
I don't think the floor plan is that bad. The chill zone/office would have the advantage that you can easily get to the children's room.
Every centimeter of wall width is missing in your living space. The house width would have an advantage; you don't have to worry too much about the structural integrity of the house. Small spans!

I already wrote on page 3 that you should look for a construction company with thin walls. Schwörerhaus manages with about 30cm. Since they use hardly any external thermal insulation composite system but cospan, a concrete fiber mix.

Oh sorry, I didn’t really register that then. Thanks!
Whether the walls are 29 or 34 cm thick makes ten centimeters difference to the width of the house. The extreme case of wanting to also solidly brick a 42.5 cm brick wall is out of the question for a prefabricated house anyway (as far as I assume that classic timber frame prefab builders are meant, in any case, the manufacturers listed suggest this).

But apart from this lack of happiness, should I have recognized the draft in post #80 as a representation of your own considerations? – Are the children already assigned to the rooms?
