Currently, the Zyxel GS1915-24EP or the Netgear GS324TP are my favorites. How well can the U6 Pro be connected and managed here? Is it wiser to go for the access points from Zyxel or Netgear? What advantages does each have?

For the Unify APs, you have to use the software or a Cloudkey from Unify. It works but you do have an additional tool. Other manufacturers offer a web access. You could centrally manage APs from Fritz in the Fritzbox. You have to set up the switch separately if it is manageable.

The question you have to ask yourself is maybe also what exactly you want to cover? Many devices in the 2.4ghz range (sockets, lamps, etc.) or 5ghz range (phones, etc.) If, for example, the TVs and computers are connected via LAN, maybe you don't need a huge 5ghz network but just "coverage". Why actually [ubiquiti Accesspoint's]? I mean they are great no question but I also don't think they are inexpensive

Connection fits because it is standard. Management is only possible via additional software from Ubiquiti. But then we are only talking about setup and use! Everything else that the Unifi system could do remains hidden to you because you have to stay in the Unifi world. This is the case with every manufacturer of such systems. You can use everything together, but you only have the really interesting features if you stay in the respective ecosystem. But with all due respect, you don’t seem like you need all that. For you, even a simple wired Fritzbox mesh system would probably be enough. ~150 euros each I find quite affordable. The why is easily clarified if you look at what the Unifi system can do. But even without the ecosystem, as simple access points they run super stable. The “management” then works via software on a PC or Mac and after setup is simply stored safely somewhere as a backup. I have had such systems with “standalone” Unifi access points running completely stress-free continuously since 2017.

The impression is not wrong. :) I want everything to run stable and fast. No further demands.

I think I am clear:
- Zyxel GS1915-24EP
- Ubiquiti U6 Pro

Regarding the network cabinet, I want to orient myself on the great setup from . That looks like 19", 12U and 40cm depth, right?

By now, I'm also leaning in this direction. The UniFi 24 PoE has 16 PoE ports with 95W. That’s enough for 4 U6 Pro APs and a door camera. I would then stay within the same system and only have one app/interface.

Are these advantages that justify the 100 euro price difference? Do you see any other advantages compared to a switch from another manufacturer?
