A (relatively expensive but good) 12-port Telegärtner patch panel with only 5 cables connected - yuck! If it’s not too late, pay the (small) surcharge for fully wired double sockets. Why does everyone always come up with the stupid idea to save money here :-( Then sockets next to network sockets (or better yet, in the upper area at about 220!cm socket above network socket!), then configure multiple AVM 2400 repeaters as access points as needed. This way, no antenna performance is lost through “repeating.” Mesh still works. For ordinary people, it is much easier than Ubiquiti in terms of configuration effort. I have had good experiences with this. As a bonus, you can create matching covers for this with 3D printing that make the whole thing virtually invisible.

Basically, supperzapp has already summarized everything nicely.

I would also only use double sockets. I hope the BT is flexible and doesn’t demand astronomical prices.

Based on your questions, I assume you are not very deep into the topic. Therefore, I would recommend everything from AVM to you, as this can be set up without extensive knowledge. For the access point on the ground floor, separate from the living room, I would have a separate LAN socket installed centrally. For the AVM devices, you of course also need additional power. Arrange them as high as possible on the wall.

Keep space free for the equipment in the utility room.

I installed and set up the three Fritzboxes in just under an hour. But I would need at least ten times that long before I even made a purchasing decision if I do something other than just throw the three most expensive Fritzboxes from MediaMarkt into the cart. And then the Ubiquiti devices are not even set up yet.

If you are familiar with Unifi, the setup is also quick and the settings can be copied. But many roads lead to Rome...

So setting up three Fritzboxes to have WLAN reception is just so off the mark. The things are huge, ugly, consume too much power, and don’t even provide particularly good WLAN. For aesthetic reasons alone, I would recommend selling the devices and starting over. I also don’t find Unifi that difficult to configure. On the contrary, for example, extending an existing system is done with two clicks.

What I have gathered so far: Access points on the ceiling usually provide the best coverage. With reinforced concrete ceilings, the antennas should probably be aimed as much as possible downwards, if possible. Is there anything to consider when there is a drywall (possibly with metal studs)? Have you already done measurements during the shell construction to find the optimal access point positions? Or is that all overkill and not worth the effort in the end?
