Planning electrical systems to be future-proof

I know it so far that one third is left as a reserve. That usually works out well. Naming absolute figures is useless. No one knows exactly what will be included and how tightly the electrician installs everything.

6mm² is already quite decent. 10 is often laid reluctantly because it is very stiff. Why are you so sure that the neighbors need 10? Your requirements with a few sockets, some lights, and a small wallbox are not particularly high right now. Ultimately, it depends on the length of the cable.

That would be unfortunate, because the VDE prescribes a minimum cross-section of 10mm² for sub-distributions. And if you install some lights, a few sockets, and a wallbox, then that is already a sub-distribution.

Please show the excerpt from the VDE. I would be very surprised if I had to supply every small garage, garden shed, or floor distributor with 5x10mm². Sounds like a misinterpretation of the term sub-distribution to me.

One question: Are there concerns about putting the network cabinet in an old building basement with 65-70% humidity, or can routers, switches, NAS handle that?
