If it is not important to you that the WLAN devices communicate across all floors, you can use a significantly cheaper solution than the Unify Ufos on the ceiling. We did it this way and, in addition to a Fritzbox covering our area with WLAN, we bought one <20€ TP-Link WLAN router for each children's apartment and one for the utility room, which is plugged into a LAN socket there. Now we have 4 different WLANs, but in practice no significant disadvantage, since we don't run network-spanning applications and simply transfer data alternatively in the few moments needed. Advantage: The children (20 and 22) administer their WLAN themselves and let their guests in as they want (as is customary in their circles), and for my network I have implemented a small security measure. I don't want to let everyone into my WLAN, not even as a "guest."

That's exactly how I would do it now! You always know better afterward. Unfortunately, it’s going poorly now, just like with me:

So: for example, have a Kaiser box placed centrally in the ceiling and then have CAT cables drawn PoE-ready. Another tip would be to provide 2 sockets on the upper floor, positioned diagonally opposite each other.
Because with the LR Wifi6 access point on the upper floor in Taiwan mode, I already have reception problems in the corners of the upper floor.
In the basement, despite the access point, I almost have no reception anywhere except in the directly adjacent rooms.

Maybe I also have to turn off the 5GHz requirement for the performance devices.

But you do know that there are special wall solutions from Unifi, right?

Yes, I know. The internet believed that ceiling APs have better coverage/range. And mounting a ceiling access point on the wall results in one-sided radiation.

Sure, but it won't work as well as on the ceiling. But before I have to look at such an eyesore, I would mount the UFO on the wall.

Besides, the UFO is not optimal close to the wall and belongs more in the center of the room.

That is true. However, it can be calculated online whether and how it works. In the end, it is probably similar to the question of whether the car can do 250 km/h or 270 km/h.
