Why the NanoHD and not the more modern U6 Pro?
You have already installed the cable outlet for the access point on the ceiling with a socket, or do you have a suspended ceiling?

For the access point, I prepared the cable in a flush-mounted box in the ceiling. If the U6 Pro is newer, then gladly that one too. :) Do you have the "normal" version, the Lite, or the Long-Range? Which switch from post #231 would you choose?

I myself still have an "old" Lite. If I were to buy now, I would go for the U6 Pro. The current Lite as a Wifi 6 version is a bit of a sham. For the Long Range, I don’t know the exact data, whether it is even allowed to operate at full power here. I have a GS1900-24E as a switch and an injector for the access point. If it stays with 5 devices with POE+, I would go for the GS1900-24EP. Basically, 1-5 work. I wouldn’t go with 6 or 7 because these Chinese devices are simply not widespread here and there is little experience with them. Don’t overlook that almost every 24-port switch is actively cooled and therefore makes some noise.

Are there no affordable ubiquiti switches 24poe? Then you at least stay in the same universe

Certainly, one can also opt for a Unifi switch, but VLAN was not a criterion, so I don’t think it’s bad not to go for a Unifi switch here. Additionally, Unifi really goes all out with a switch!

I would completely stay with Unify. Alternatively, mix colors but then without unify APs. If you only have Fritzbox, Switch, Cloudkey (or Console), and APs, you can create a maximum of one guest network. And. That is also not standard… It is easier to use Fritzbox, Switch, and any APs that are easier to manage…. Longrange APs bring nothing in Germany because the performance is limited. So either dish-like ones like U6 pro or socket-like ones like U6 Mesh. The NanoHD is smaller but not as modern. It will also no longer receive updates for very long.
