You will have good Wi-Fi in that storage room. How much of it reaches the rest of the house, where you really need the Wi-Fi, remains to be seen. When I see what Elis delivers in the network area, I know why they are allowed to lay the LAN cables and do potential equalization at most in my place.

Okay, is that just a pity or a disaster?

It already works, just with its own remote control or its own buttons.

Proprietary solutions are fundamentally rubbish – all the more so the more they cook their own little soup on all levels: network topology, protocol, bus system, connector formats, ... In the "ideal case," the manufacturer merges with a competitor who follows a different philosophy, one of the two product lines is discontinued, and your house is basically electronic waste if you don’t know a soldering iron virtuoso with network and programming knowledge.

Do you have a recommendation that offers a better solution and is installed in the [Unterfranken] area?

A solution could be the Somfy flush-mounted transmitter. It goes behind a normal button and at least you stay within the switch program. If you have an Idealstandard electrical system, this is a good way. If you are heading towards Smart Home, you still lack feedback from the drive.
