Normally you can’t go wrong with the Unifi access points, and above all, they can be powered via POE and don’t require a power outlet nearby. I would reconsider the access point in the attic. I would put it on the ceiling on the upper floor. First, the devices are on this floor and you still have to send through a ceiling. Additionally, the antennas of the Unifi access points are designed for ceiling mounting. For the telephone, I would test the DECT of the FritzBox to see if it works throughout the whole house. The FritzBox probably should not be placed in the network cabinet. Alternatively, there is the Gigaset GO Box, which you can connect to the LAN and register the DECT phones there. In terms of effort, I would always use double sockets except for the network sockets for the access points. It’s one more cable running through the same conduit and a double socket doesn’t require more space than a single socket. Now I'm a lot smarter again. Very nice. Thanks. I would not take the Fritzboxes as access points for optical reasons in the first approach. I have already become accustomed to the Ubiquiti Unifi as access points. FritzBox or similar router that already supports DECT goes into the basement and hope that the signal reaches the upper floor. But since the second access point is supposed to go anyway into the non-visible area in the attic, another Fritzbox could be an idea here. It is important to pull the appropriate cables to the right place first. But I face the usual problem you have when you have no idea and build with a general contractor. "PHONE CONNECTIONS" were offered in every room. Of course I don’t need that as I have learned. Now I have to wait for the surcharge for the required network cables. I have to discuss that with the electrician. But if he already does the chases for the phone connections according to the scope of delivery, he can also install the corresponding conduit to keep the whole thing somewhat cost-neutral. I will take care of the rest.
