Why is that? You will probably get a TAE set by Telekom, which is the termination of what comes from outside. Then the Fritzschnur (TAE to RJ45) is connected to it, and from there either with a coupler or a small patch panel to your home cabling (RJ45 to RJ45) and thus to the patch panel, where the rest is located. From there, from the patch panel with a completely normal Cat patch cable directly to the DSL connection of the FritzBox.

Finally, thanks again. Then I will suggest to my electrician tomorrow to wire it like .

That would be the easiest option. I don't have everything on hand right now, but do you have an Access Point solution for the WLAN? Using the onboard WLAN of the Fritzbox from the metal box isn't really going to work.

Thanks for thinking along. Yes, access points are planned on all three floors, two of them on the ground floor. You already helped me with this from #42 on page 6. I think I’m making myself a little too nervous. However, when I first met the electrician, I got the impression that the network was more like a burden to him (approximate quote: “Yes, if you absolutely need access points. The Fritzbox does it for me”) and so I probably need to give him clear instructions, probably with a suitable reason, so as not to have to come up with the kill argument “because I want it that way.” I’ll be happy to report back on how it went.

Basically, I’m looking forward to the moment when everything is running and we have properly integrated devices and a fast, stable WLAN. We are neither heavy users privately nor professionally, but the solution here with repeaters is already extremely annoying. At the same time, there are many friends and acquaintances who have built in recent years, who haven’t done anything here at all and don’t have a home network. Do you feel the same way?

Well, that is the widespread misconception from the "take it or leave it" prefabricated house / general contractor / developer world. There is only the electrician for everything that is long and round but not a water pipe. Most electricians have no knowledge of network technology, let alone do they have the necessary measuring equipment for it, especially not the mass and standard electricians in this industry. But that's just how it is.

So, the shell construction inspection with the electrician is done. It actually went pretty well. For him, it's no problem to mount and "equip" the network cabinet. However, he said that he would like to procure the patch panel himself so that his keystones fit well. For the house entry, he is installing a TAE socket in the network cabinet for me, like with (I had your photos as a pattern :) ). He said he is laying Cat 6 or 7. I expressly insisted that it should be at least Cat 7. All in all, I am optimistic. How have you solved the issue of wall box(es), network, and photovoltaic system at your place?
