Feel? The individual buttons surely light up…(with these HighEndSuperDuper products) ;)

I think the main argument against KNX is that when you build with a general contractor/developer who has an electrician and/or the electrical work is described in the scope of work, you can’t remove it cost-neutrally to get an external system integrator for it…

Especially since that is almost impossible at the moment anyway… with me it only runs somewhat smoothly because the trades have known each other for decades and coordinate among themselves… with a "foreign" KNX electrician… well…

Certainly, this is the fault of the builder who usually only thinks about KNX when the slab is poured. And then, for what most people understand by "Smart Home", a wireless solution definitely makes sense. Especially since "Smart Home" in your understanding is not a protected term. If that triggers people, I sincerely regret that… but that’s something you will have to live with…

And, with all due respect… one should never forget that some forum members here earn their living with KNX…

I like discussing with you… but when a moderator constantly tells me I don’t know anything… well, what else can you say? ;)

Imagine, there are also general contractors who have electricians who know very well about it :)

I don’t understand the argument. Yes, there may be GCs who are great at this. But their clients are hardly going to be whining around here in the forum?

Hello,

I wanted to ask how big the control cabinet should be.

We are building without Smart Home (so no KNX) and may retrofit individual things with radio (e.g. roller shutters).

How much space should be left for subsequent expansions?

The expansions we have planned:

Ekey Controller (the new one when it becomes available) We will have the cables for the ekey xLine prepared.

Does a photovoltaic smart meter make sense?

What expansions would one even make later on?

Consult the electrician carrying out the work. That is the best approach in this case.
