Is it working with the providers for you? We (Saxony/Federal State Leipzig district) have the situation that the V......e cable (as well as T.....m) is already on the property and "only" needs to be brought into the house. We have already received an offer for this from V. for 999 euros, but since March it has not been possible for anyone to come by and install the cable in the house. By phone and email, we only reach someone after a long time in the waiting loop, who then tells us to refrain from inquiries. How is it working for you or your providers? For us, they are playing "dead beetle."

Order placed with Telekom in October 21, appointment given as 08.06., still in planning and they are currently looking into the cause. The cable is 5m away from the house. My feedback was that it will take 6-10 months until the connection is established.

Which WLAN access points would you recommend to me? I would take switch and router from the same manufacturer/system

Unifi or TP Link Omada?

or another system?

I have now had 2x ZyXEL Cloud WiFi 6 AX1800 access points for about 10 weeks. 1x in the attic and 1x on the ground floor, and I am really very satisfied. Installation is child's play, access points are well made and suitable for wall as well as ceiling mounting. Reception is really very good, although these access points are not located in the perfect places for me (wall in the "corners"). You can also see the respective status of the access points via app and make various other settings here (in my opinion not necessary). At €80.00 per access point also still relatively cheap. I would recommend it immediately! I have a switch from YuanLey and my router is a Speedsport Smart 4 - both have no problems with it.

What other alternatives are there for Access Points that are recommended?

Unifi is mentioned most often

then TP-Link Omada is also frequently mentioned

with Omada, the price-performance ratio is always emphasized

Which Access Points would you rather recommend? Zyxel, Unifi or Omada? or others?

Hello everyone,
I'm digging up this thread again because my question fits well here.
I have decided, based on the recommendations here, to go with 3 (1x per floor) Netgear WAX 218 access points, even though they cost a few euros more; possibly also an outdoor access point. Now my questions:

[*]Does it have to be a (PoE) switch from the same manufacturer? Does that offer any advantages?
[*]If I only have 3 PoE access points, can I connect them to a "small" PoE switch and use a non-PoE switch for the remaining LAN ports? Is connecting the switches foolproof?
[*]What happens if, for example, a 24-port PoE switch – aside from the cost and possible noise – is also used for non-PoE devices? Can anything be damaged on the receiving device?

Thanks to you all!
