No, just read the reasons behind all the recommendations regarding the swap. The swap is just a simple way to fix a major flaw here, namely the poor location of the living room.
I understand the arguments. I have also already revised the floor plans (during the lunch break with Excel). However, I only want to post them once I have discussed them with my wife and we agree. Then I will create the floor plan using Sweethome and share it here. I don’t want to present such an Excel botch for discussion. So much for now:
In the new floor plan:
- I swapped the living room and kitchen
- I placed the extension in the middle including the dining area
- The stairs are finally aligned above each other
- The upstairs hallway is finally straight
- The knee wall is planned at 115-130cm
- Due to the high knee wall, the dormers are unnecessary and the roof should be (significantly?) cheaper
- The attic is larger because of the knee wall (hobby room *HrHrHr*)
- The stair slopes in the utility room and the bedroom have disappeared
I adopted a few things from ’s idea, and left some from the old floor plan.
I like the floor plan much better now. I still need to present it to my wife. There will be feedback tonight.
I would like to sincerely thank you all again. You have already helped us a lot!
