I understand the arguments. I have also already revised the floor plans (during the lunch break with Excel). However, I only want to post them once I have discussed them with my wife and we agree. In the new floor plan:
- I swapped the living room and kitchen
- I placed the extension in the middle including the dining area
- The stairs are finally aligned above each other
- The upstairs hallway is finally straight
- The knee wall is planned at 115-130cm
- Due to the high knee wall, the dormers are unnecessary and the roof should be (significantly?) cheaper
- The attic is larger because of the knee wall (hobby room *HrHrHr*)
- The stair slopes in the utility room and the bedroom have disappeared

I adopted a few things from ’s idea, and left some from the old floor plan.

I like the floor plan much better now. I still need to present it to my wife. There will be feedback tonight.

It should just become a bit of a mancave. A little crafting corner to tinker/solder on the notebook / PC / water cooling etc, space for my tube TV and retro games, a small PC corner (my wife doesn’t want the 34-inch in the office ^^) and a sofa.

Who knows what hobbies I’ll have later. If I don’t need the room anymore, it’ll become a chill area for the kids (pardon, teenagers ^^) or storage.
