You always have to consider what I gain by placing the table in the bay window. Usually, the terrace accesses are there as well, and I always end up creating winding paths with it.

Yes, I know that much of it is a matter of feeling. But I still find it helpful to try to back up these feelings with reasons as best as possible. That also makes things clearer for oneself.

mhm yes that's true. The longer I try and move things around, the more it approaches ’s version. Here a bit shorter, but a tad wider. Access to the terrace is also free there.

The corner in the living room: if I extend the projection up to the upper floor, the projection has to be offset a bit. Otherwise, the side profile of the house would look awkward. The only question is how far it needs to be offset. Is half a meter enough?

That was cute.

Here I have another one for you with a housewife’s wish in focus: "Kitchen on the left + dining table in the bay window," similar to the original draft.
Caution – the stairs here are not landing stairs! My program can’t do that. On the ground floor, they are quarter-turn stairs, and on the upper floor, half-turn stairs. The cabinets in the hallway are only meant to demonstrate the placement areas. Of course, it doesn’t have to be furnished exactly like that! Possibly, an entrance hall could be added – but nowadays these are only for decoration. You don’t need to block wind anymore – modern front doors are completely airtight.

On the upper floor, the layout doesn’t change much. You just have to be very careful that the planner can handle the bathroom’s wastewater disposal. That’s not easy since it has to be routed through the ceiling out of the living room. It’s possible but must be planned properly. The architect can also rack their brain over the window in the hallway. I would definitely put one in, even if it runs behind the stairs.

Knee wall at 1.30 m. Whether you can afford the gables is of course the main question. Also to what extent dormers would be possible – ask the architect.

Maybe add a few double casement windows.
Here’s the attic floor. You can furnish it yourself.

Actually, I usually stay out of such topics due to lack of knowledge, but I would like to make a remark:

Friends of ours have built an open floor plan and have problems with the sound. Everything spoken downstairs comes upstairs exactly as it is. Therefore, the current design from [Kahoo] would be recommended.

We had the same problem after moving in. The railing was designed as a bookshelf and that was the end of it.

Wow really great Yes, that is very similar to the first draft, just without the slope in the utility room. How am I supposed to imagine the stairs? Will there then be a slope visible in the kitchen? I just can’t picture how the stairs are supposed to look? Thank you very much for your effort I really like it. Even if here again the living room is a passage... but we’ll have to live with that. Can you somehow manage to put the bathroom on the north side? So that the 3 children’s rooms can be on the south side? Then water wouldn’t be such a problem either. Does the extension really have to have a pitched roof? Wouldn’t it be cheaper to make it flat?
