Unfortunately, I can't follow anymore. That's not possible, is it? If my knee wall is at 1.30 m, then my roof also starts at the earliest at 1.30 m. Or do you want to place the window beyond the wall? Then I'd have to remove part of the wall.
Can't you make a sketch? *blink, blink, batting eyes*

Just by the way? Can anyone estimate what an increase of the knee wall from 75cm to about 130cm (I would have entire rows of bricks raised so that I don't have to saw) might cost? I have no feel for this at all.

Me neither (among other reasons because "only fools shorten from sums"): you will hardly increase linearly, but usually take compensation in the form of a lower roof pitch as part of the measure. Don't worry about parts of "whole rows of stones" – in a serious case, there are also smaller formats. For the target size 130, however, five rows in the most common large format (125) are probably the most practical – but then you could add a row of DF or NF and then be at about 131.3 / 133.3.

I'm afraid only your main contractor can tell you. It's different everywhere and most people don't buy their house brick by brick, but the complete shell at a fixed price.

Ok thanks for now. Because the way I understood it, the wall with the higher knee wall has to withstand more because the lever force from the roof becomes greater.

Now my question was simply aimed in the direction of 5T or 15T more expensive. So really just a ballpark figure.

We are currently sitting (once again ) at the floor plan. We started by optimizing our floor plan. I have to calmly rebuild the other suggestions. My wife doesn't need to sit behind me for that either. But was right. The kitchen didn’t work.

Playing around with our floor plan, this is what came out currently. The idea was to swap the office and kitchen.

- except for the bathroom and utility room, all rooms swapped
- staircase turned – now it no longer protrudes into the utility room but into the office

I imagine it like this and could live with it

- living room could be separated if needed
- kitchen is the first room and thus the living room is no longer like a train station.

Warm or cold (or catastrophe)?

I would ask the general contractor which is more cost-effective
- lower knee wall with dormers
- higher knee wall without dormers
- larger footprint but no bay window, gable roof without dormers (linear meters of exterior wall are the same, simple shape, simple roof, no transitions, no corners)
