Roof planning - Only gable roof or half-hip roof allowed

I think that the OP will build a bungalow, she also does not write about an attic (floor), but about an attic space that could be converted if necessary

Silvi, of course, that is really bad right before the building application, and a roof can change the whole house.

The hint that the builder should at least skim through the development plan does not help either – most of it is described in an understandable way and even you as a layperson recognize if it says gable roof and not hipped roof

I am writing this post to show others that looking at the development plan is also important for the layperson wanting to build!

Yes, you're right. You should really take a good look at the development plan. By now, I can almost recite it by heart. It just wasn't clear to me that a [Krüppelwalmdach] is actually quite different from a hip roof. Naively, I assumed the construction company would tell us if something was wrong. Well, that was wrong thinking. Now let's wait and see if we can get some kind of special permit. In our street, only the 6 houses have been built so far. No house in the area has a [Krüppelwalmdach]. They all have either a shed roof, flat roof, or hip roof. Hopefully, we'll succeed with the argument of maintaining the cityscape.

I have to be pedantic; sorry. A bungalow has no reserve that could be developed. In that respect, Silvi is building a classic single-story house. A bungalow may at most have an attic, accessible via a BET.

Then we have a bungalow. The attic is "actually" not convertible and really only intended as an attic storage room. With a [Krüppelwalmdach], one could consider making it convertible, as at least 2 straight walls exist. However, there will still be no normal staircase. Only the folding staircase.

10 m ridge height?! we have just under 9 at 1.6 m knee wall and 45° pitch and thus practically exceed all other houses in the neighborhood (unfinished attic in which you could very comfortably play football)... the bungalow will look very strange Although... 14.5 m is of course also a statement with a gable roof - that would mean that your little attic has 7 m (!) at the highest point - or am I making a mistake in thinking?
