I don’t understand why you started the original post.

Probably so you feel better. We won’t be able to change anything about your personal situation, only you can.

However, I don’t see that the will is there. Without it, there will never be property for you in your life. Sorry, I stand by that.

Not everyone becomes a property owner in Germany.

The post was meant to be entertaining! I neither actively asked for help, for that the regulars' table would be the wrong subforum, nor am I complaining that the situation that exists between us does not change without any action.

For those who have control over it and are aware of their monthly burden, it definitely makes sense. A 0% financing as long as you don’t get into debt, for example missed monthly payments, is a great way to get things that would otherwise only be possible through months of saving. We (typically) Germans are very particular about many things anyway

Exactly, here is your declaration of intent. Have fun winning the lottery.

If you want to improve your life situation, you should be able/willing to achieve something.

I don't know why everyone is whining about this thread. It actually leads to lively and interesting discussions : )

But my opinion about credit remains: only for building a house.
A nice car is also available for little money. My sister-in-law, VW Polo GTI for 7,000, and if I dream of building a house, 5,000 should always be possible without credit. Otherwise, in my opinion, you live too close to the existential limit.

Best regards

If I take a text and only read a part of it, such confusion can occur. So it's best to simply read it completely, then it might be clear why this thread is in the Stammtisch.

Or you sink your money into savings contracts.
Like with us, for example. Our equity came from parents and from home savings contracts.
Due to parental leave and moving, we had almost nothing left in the account. 7k for a car would not have been possible without a loan.
