I see no real contradiction between children and two careers. The children are well cared for by a good daycare provider and enjoy contact with other children, at least for about 7 hours a day. This allows both parents to work full-time if the employers offer flexible working hours, home office, etc. For workaholics, there is still enough "free" time between 8 pm and midnight to achieve more than colleagues. I can only speak for us, it works wonderfully for us, you just have to be very organized.

Certainly, mothers do not have to work full-time. But apparently there are still pot and lid situations where the darling is rather kept and is also allowed to earn some extra money until she throws her children. It all reads very well for the lunch break [emoji23]

But you also have to sell yourself well, otherwise it won't work [emoji4]

Fortunately, otherwise we might have these men to deal with.

To the OP: Don’t be afraid of the job postings you find.
Every listing states that a completed degree or comparable professional experience, English spoken and written, etc. are required.
My tip: Completely ignore that at first! You have nothing to lose in the interview. Just be confident and apply. Either they find you suitable or not. And it’s no shame if it only works out by the 80th application. It’s not like an application still costs 12 euros nowadays (expensive passport photos, application folder, etc.).

I have a lot of professional contact with call centers. There is very high turnover in the industry due to low requirements and poor pay. However, turnover also means that opportunities arise to advance, whether to team leader, specialist trainer, expert, or something like that.
Furthermore, you can also see from the turnover that many of your industry colleagues manage to find something better again and again. That should give you courage.

One more question: What have you and your wife trained in? (Vocational training).
