Bathtub in the bedroom - what do you think about that?

We will lay tiles throughout the entire house, so water should not be a problem. User: my husband and I like to be together. So far, we have done this without bubbles or with a whirlpool mat. We also like to choose hotels with a whirlpool on vacation. We do not have children yet, but if we do, I don’t see a problem with them bathing in the bedroom, right? And they don’t do that every day anyway. I am also a little concerned that dirt (or cats) might collect inside (but that also happens in the bathroom). I could imagine a cover for that. I once saw cushions that you put on it. Temperature: since we insulate, there probably won’t be big temperature differences in the rooms anyway. I don’t need a warm room for bathing, nor does warmth bother me when sleeping. Normal temperature should therefore be fine. Since it is only about the bathtub and not the entire bathroom, I don’t think there is a risk that we will have to see each other naked if we no longer want to.

Not every day, but sometimes even at 18 after a visit to the disco!

Bathing at night? At most just rinsing off the dirt... Doesn’t matter. Tiles throughout the whole house? Ok now I’m out, that’s a no-go for me, I’ll never agree on that...

Using the same reasoning, next week someone will ask if the freezer or the winter tires should be put in the bedroom. Nip it in the bud!

[NIGHTS BATHING? AT MOST JUST WASHING OFF THE DIRT...
WHATEVER.]

Yes, exactly. It doesn’t matter.
It’s just an example where a couple complicates things, creates space, or whatever, which with children, whom they raise independently and responsibly, eventually doesn’t work.
Ideally, a couple still thinks about toddlers (which is no problem), but nobody thinks that from about age 8 (or so, plus or minus) they become independent individuals with their own will and character. And why should they only want to bathe when it suits the parents? For these reasons, regarding privacy/shame, it can clash and become a problem. It can, for example, be considered selfish… whatever… whatever!

yes, toddlers quickly become little adults who want privacy in the bathroom and bathtub and not only at 18. My girls are almost out of the house now, but they would have already thanked me at ten for having to bathe in the parents' bedroom, possibly while daddy is lying in bed with stomach flu. And I would have appreciated not being able to even quickly get warm socks from the closet just because one of the ladies wants to bathe extensively and undisturbed. We also like bathing together, but I would look for a different solution.
