Please excuse me for replying so late. I have spent the last few days supporting my wife with the nest-building and coordinating with several developers, the building authority, and the district office. We will get the necessary exemptions for the driveway and wall height if we pay attention to a few small details.
We have already received a visualization that we like; the floor plan is not perfect yet, but unfortunately, I cannot upload it as a PDF. Also, price-wise, we are not far from my comfort zone anymore, and we can manage that with acceptable compromises.
Regarding your suggestion: it is really well thought out. However, we will move the house a bit further to the right to provide the children with as large a lawn area as possible. We will - if the price is reasonable - run the driveway along the property boundary and support it with T-stones. I have already contacted Glatthaar Starwalls. If they are indeed about 30% cheaper than conventional natural stone walls, that would of course be great.
We are now also looking at some prefab solid/massive builders such as Das Massive in HN or EinSteinHaus in Ulm.
It is also interesting to see how some sales consultants operate. Keitel-Haus no longer wants to work with us because we are also looking at other developers. Another sales consultant takes everything into his own hands without consulting us and simply says when asked that we should be surprised :D Bittermann & Weiss created the views and are so far the only ones who have incorporated our wishes and provided us with a reasonable calculation ... unfortunately, they have a 26-month delivery time from the building application. Another provider was 80% more expensive, almost double ... I am curious when and with whom it will go into architectural planning.
